About “Not A Perfect Mom”
So I’ve been trying to figure out how I can fit into the whole “blog-osphere” and talk about something I’m passionate about on a consistent basis. I’m passionate about a lot of things – coffee, sports, golf, politics, marketing, personal finance – but I had to figure out what I am so passionate about – and have some knowledge of – that I could write a blog post about it a couple/few times a week.
So here it is – my very first attempt at a real blog: “Not a Perfect Mom”.
The basis: I know I’m not perfect, I don’t do everything right by my kids or my husband…but I sure do the best I can and love them with everything I have. There are a lot of things out there telling us how to be the “perfect” mom – magazines, television, movies and even our own circle of friends and family. We’re kidding ourselves if we think we can keep up. So I thought I’d share some tidbits from my experiences in hopes that other moms out there could learn from my mistakes and maybe feel a little less guilty that they may not “measure up”.
In this blog – you’ll read stories about our family life, maybe some bragging about how cool my kids are, the challenges we face and how (good or bad) we deal with them. I look forward to your comments and feedback so that I can learn from you too.
So, I hope you’ll take the ride with me and enjoy!

Hey Rachel and other moms.
I am happily married almost 20 years to my best friend. We both work full time. We have 3 boys- 15yrs, 13yrs and 10 months! Life if full of work, kid sports and activities. I have always been active in sports playing college softball and playing b-ball. I helped start a ladies basketball night 5 years ago. Today it is still going strong. We have about 15 regulars…former college players some college students etc. Most of us there are moms and it is a great time to fellowship and we support one another when we are feeling like we are not the perfect moms. We play Jan through April. One summer we actually started walking together through different parks and we brought our kids too. Rachel, I work with your Dad. He told me about your site a few weeks ago. You seem like you really have it all together. I am proud of you for being so passionate and making a difference in so many peoples lives! Way to go! God Bless,Kim
